On the eve of ‘World Tourism day:, the ‘Sunset Travel Cafe’ is inaugurated by some dignitaries of Travel and Tourism industry and travel media. It is already showcasing some destinations of West Bengal with options of booking. The 2500 sq feet cafe overlooking the Ganga is best during the sunset so the timing remains from 4 pm to 7 pm daily. The speciality of the cafe is some continental dishes and a variety of tea from small tea growers from the entire Himalayas.
This is the 1st travel cafe in West Bengal and perhaps in India where travel solutions and varied cuisines are offered under a single roof. Travel cafe should not be a cafe putting some posters of automobiles and posters as their interiors or putting a scooty or a bike inside it. It is again incomplete if only travel magazines and books are kept in the form of a library inside the cafe. It should be a complete travel house with a full form of a cafe which we strive to do. Hence we have invited my fellow resort owners, tour developers to display their products and treat the ‘Sunset Travel Cafe’ as their representative and booking office. Travel enquiry and operations will be taken care by 100 Miles, approved by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. 100 Miles, a unit of Safar Leisure Consultancy has been working in the field of tourism since the year 2000.
